Why Should You Wear Wool Gabardine Wool Trousers?

Men's trousers by Lawrence Trousers are available in a variety of materials. While cotton is arguably the most common, you can find trousers made of other fabrics, including wool. Whether you're dressing for work or leisure, you can't go wrong with a pair of wool gabardine trousers. They offer several benefits when compared to other trousers, including the following.

Breathable

Gabardine wool trousers for men are highly breathable. In other words, air can easily flow into and out of your pants while you wear them. The problem with trousers made of synthetic fabrics, such as polyester, is that they offer little or no breathability. Some synthetic materials are artificial pores but feature a sealed construction that restricts airflow. If you happen to wear a pair of synthetic trousers, sweat won't be able to escape your body.

As a result, sweat will accumulate inside the trousers while you wear them. The good news is that you can prevent this from occurring by choosing trousers made of a breathable material like wool.

Soft

If you've ever worn wool trousers before — or any other wool garment — you may recall their exceptionally soft texture. The individual fibers of wool are more delicate than those of different materials like cotton. Therefore, wool trousers feel incredibly soft when worn. They don't feel rough or scratchy. On the contrary, they feel gentle and supple. Whether you wear them for a few hours or an entire day, wool gabardine trousers will keep you comfortable.

Warm

Another benefit of men's wool gabardine trousers and pants is their warmth. Wool acts as thermal insulation to minimize the loss of body heat. When wearing a pair of wool trousers, the wool material will create a protective barrier between your skin and the surrounding environment. If it's cold outside, you'll feel warm thanks to the insulative properties of wool. The heat produced by your body will become trapped between your skin and your wool trousers, thereby protecting you from the cold air. If you're shopping for a new pair of formal trousers to wear this winter, you should consider going with wool for this very reason. Wool is one of the warmest materials on the planet, making it the perfect material for winter-weather trousers.

Hypoallergenic

Casual handmade trousers for men made up with Wool are also hypoallergenic. According to the Statistics, roughly one in five adults suffer from skin allergies. Skin allergies, of course, are characterized by an overactive immune system response. If a person with a skin allergy comes into contact with the harmless allergen, they may break out in hives and develop a rash. However, allergic reactions such as this don't occur with wool trousers. Wool itself is a hypoallergenic material, meaning it has a low chance of triggering an allergic reaction.

Easy to Clean

You can easily clean a pair of wool trousers. While other trousers require dry cleaning, you can typically clean wool trousers yourself using water and detergent. Just place them in your washing machine, set them to cold water and let them run. You can dry your wool trousers by hanging them on a line when finished. Line drying wool trousers protect them from shrinkage. If you dry your wool trousers in a dryer, they'll be exposed to significant heat that may cause them to shrink. So, err on caution by line drying your wool trousers.

Moisture Wicking

The benefits of wool trousers don't end there. Wool has natural moisture-wicking properties to help "move" moisture off your skin. You'll probably sweat whether you're lounging inside your home or working outdoors under the hot midday sun. After all, sweating is a natural process used to cool our bodies. When your body becomes warm, it will release some heat by sweating. If you're wearing the wrong trousers, this sweat will stick to your skin.

Flame Resistant

A benefit of wool trousers that's often overlooked is the material's natural flame-resistant properties. Wool is structured in a way that inhibits combustion. Trousers or other garments made of wool can still melt when exposed to enough heat, but they generally won't ignite. Instead, they'll extinguish themselves to prevent the fire from spreading. As a result, you can rest assured knowing that your trousers won't catch fire. This is just one more benefit of choosing wool trousers instead of other trousers

As you can see, wool trousers are a great all-around choice. They are breathable, soft, warm, hypoallergenic, easy to clean, moisture-wicking and flame resistant. You can't go wrong with a pair of high-quality wool trousers for these reasons and others.
